Bathroom Renovation in Fernandina Beach, FL

A full bathroom renovation covers layout changes, flooring, tile work, shower or tub replacement, vanity and cabinet updates, countertops, and plumbing and electrical upgrades. The exact scope depends on your current bathroom and what you want to change.

Design and material selections come first, before any demolition starts in your Fernandina Beach home. After that, structural and subfloor work happens, then plumbing and electrical rough-in, then tile and waterproofing, then fixtures and finishes last.

Choosing materials based on appearance alone is one of the most costly mistakes, especially in a coastal area where humidity and salt air degrade the wrong finishes quickly. Poor layout planning is another, where doors swing into fixtures or there is not enough storage built in from the start.

Yes, a bathroom renovation is a practical way to add accessibility features like curbless shower entries, wider clearances around fixtures, and grab-bar blocking built into the walls. Planning these details during the renovation is far less disruptive than adding them later.
